Travel Town Producers Guide
Your complete reference for every producer in Travel Town. Learn what each one drops, how to get them, and the importance of upgrading them.

What is a Producer?
Producers are the engines of your Travel Town economy. They are the special, permanent items on your board that generate mergeable items when you tap them. Each tap costs energy. Understanding which producer creates which items is the most fundamental skill in the game, as it allows you to efficiently complete tasks for the townspeople.
How to Get and Upgrade Producers
You can't buy producers directly. You must build and upgrade them by merging their specific "parts."
- Getting Producer Parts: You'll primarily get producer parts from opening Tool Chests, which are common rewards from tasks and events. The shop also sells producer parts in its daily deals section.
- Upgrading: Producer parts have their own merge chain. For example, you'll merge two Small Anvils to get a better Anvil, and so on. Once you create the highest-level part, it transforms into a new, fully functional producer that you can place on your board. If you already have that producer, the new one will automatically merge with it to upgrade it to the next level.
Upgrading is vital. A higher-level producer recharges faster and has a better chance of dropping higher-level items, which saves you a significant amount of energy in the long run.
List of Common Producers and What They Drop
Here is a list of some of the key producers you will encounter and the item chains they are associated with.
- Old Well: One of the first producers. It primarily drops items from the Water and Bucket merge chains.
- Lighthouse: Creates items for the Light and Lamp merge chains.
- Fishing Net: Your source for the Shellfish and Coral merge chains. Essential for many early-game tasks.
- Jewelry Box: Creates items for the Gem and Jewelry merge chains.
- Beach Stand: This producer drops items for the Beach Toy and Sand Castle merge chains.
- And many more... As you upgrade your town and unlock new areas like the Mine or the Market, you will discover many more producers with unique item chains.
Strategy for Managing Producers
Your board will quickly become crowded with producers. Effective management is key.
- Focus on Upgrading: Always prioritize merging producer parts to get your producers to the highest possible level. A Level 5 producer is far more valuable than five Level 1 producers.
- Store Inactive Producers: You don't need every producer on your board at once. As we explain in our storage guide, you should keep producers you're not using in your pouch to save space.
- Know Your Merge Chains: Take the time to learn which producer drops which items. This will prevent you from wasting energy tapping the wrong producer when you're trying to complete a specific task.
Your producers are your most important assets. Treat them well, upgrade them consistently, and manage them strategically, and you'll find your journey in Travel Town to be smooth and rewarding.
