Travel Town Rewards Explained
Understand every type of reward available in Travel Town and learn the best strategies to earn more of them, from basic tasks to major event prizes.
Introduction to the Reward System
Travel Town is a game built on a satisfying loop: complete tasks, earn rewards, and use those rewards to progress. Understanding the different types of rewards and where they come from is essential for efficient gameplay. While some rewards help you immediately (like free energy), others contribute to your long-term goals. This guide will break down every reward you can earn.
Core Rewards from Tasks
Completing the tasks given by the townspeople on the left side of your screen is your primary activity. These always grant the two most fundamental rewards:
- Gold Coins: This is the main currency used for upgrading buildings in your town. The amount of gold you receive increases as the requested items become more complex. Upgrading buildings is the ultimate objective, as it unlocks new producers and game areas.
- Experience Points (XP): These blue stars are what allow you to level up. Gaining a new level provides significant benefits, including a full energy refill and an increase to your maximum energy storage.
Event-Specific Rewards
The most lucrative and varied rewards come from participating in special events. These are limited-time challenges that offer prizes you can't easily get elsewhere.
Common Event Rewards:
- Large Bundles of Energy: Events are the single best source for a massive infusion of energy, allowing you to play for much longer sessions.
- Diamonds: High-tier event milestones are one of the few ways to earn a substantial amount of free diamonds.
- Chests (Tool, Energy, Diamond): You can win chests containing producer parts, energy, or diamonds. It's always best to merge these chests to their maximum level before opening to maximize your reward.
- Producer Parts: Some events reward you with the parts needed to upgrade your producers, saving you the time and energy of creating them yourself.
- Special Items (e.g., Jokers, Splitters): Events are often the only way to get powerful special items. A Joker can substitute for any item in a merge, while a Splitter can break a higher-level item back down into its components. Our Joker guide has more details.
Daily and Recurring Rewards
Consistency pays off in Travel Town. Make sure you're collecting these rewards every day.
- Daily Challenges: A set of three tasks that resets daily. Completing them grants a mix of rewards, often including energy, coins, and chests.
- Free Shop Box: A gift box in the in-game shop that can be opened every few hours. It always contains a small amount of free energy and sometimes coins or a low-level item.
- Piggy Bank: As you spend energy, your piggy bank fills up. Once full, you can purchase the contents (usually a large amount of energy and diamonds) for real money. Occasionally, the game offers a free piggy bank break during special promotions.
Level Up & Achievement Rewards
These rewards are tied to your overall game progression.
- Level Up Bonus: Each time you level up, you get a full energy bar refill, an increase to your max energy, and a small bundle of diamonds.
- Achievement Rewards: Found by tapping the trophy icon, these long-term goals (e.g., "Merge 10,000 items") provide diamonds and coins upon completion.
- New Area Unlocks: The biggest reward of all! As you upgrade your town with gold, you will unlock completely new areas on the map, which come with new producers and new item chains to discover. This is the core of advancing in the game. For more details on this progression, see our How to Play guide.
By actively pursuing all these reward avenues, you can build a powerful and efficient town. Prioritize completing daily challenges and participating in every event to ensure you never miss out on the best prizes the game has to offer.
