How Do I Save My Game Progress?
This is the most critical question for any player. Losing your hard-earned progress is devastating. Travel Town automatically saves your progress locally on your device, but to protect it and enable play on other devices, you **must** connect your game to an external account.
Your primary and most recommended option is to connect your game to your **Facebook account**.
To connect to Facebook:
- Tap the gear icon in the top right corner of your game screen to open the Settings menu.
- You will see a "Connect to Facebook" button. Tap it.
- Follow the prompts to log in to your Facebook account and grant the game permissions.
Once connected, a green checkmark will appear next to the button. Your progress is now securely saved to the cloud, linked to your Facebook profile. Can I Play on Multiple Devices (e.g., iPhone and Android Tablet)?
Yes, you can, but only if you have saved your progress using Facebook. The process works as follows:
- On your main device: Ensure your game is connected to Facebook as described above.
- On your new/second device: Install Travel Town. Play through the initial tutorial until you can access the Settings menu.
- In Settings on the new device: Tap "Connect to Facebook" and log in to the *exact same* Facebook account.
- The game will detect that there is existing saved data linked to that account. It will ask if you want to load the progress from the cloud. Confirm that you do.
Your town, level, energy, and diamonds will now be synced across both devices. Remember to always ensure you have a stable internet connection when switching between devices to allow the game to sync properly.
I Got a New Phone. How Do I Transfer My Progress?
This process is the same as playing on multiple devices. As long as your game on your old phone was connected to Facebook, you just need to install the game on your new phone and connect it to that same Facebook account. Your progress will be downloaded from the cloud.
If you did not connect your old game to Facebook and you no longer have access to the old device, your progress is unfortunately lost. This is why connecting to Facebook is so important.
Can I Reset My Progress and Start Over?
Travel Town does not have a simple in-game button to reset your progress. Once your game is linked to a Facebook account, that progress is permanently tied to it.
If you absolutely must start over, the only way is to disconnect the game from your current Facebook account (you may need to do this from within your Facebook settings under "Apps and Websites") and then connect it to a **brand new, different Facebook account**. Alternatively, you could play without connecting to any account, but your progress will only be saved locally and will be at risk.
